Hi, folks,
Brian here - you may know me as Loki's spymaster. In case you don't remember me, here's a picture of me from one of Loki's earlier blog posts:

Loki asked me to write this guest post to talk about how to assemble your crew. When you're assembling a crew, it's important to consider a few things.
First, think about things you're not good at, and try to find beings with skills that you lack. For example, I'm awesome at flying, but I'm not a very good swimmer. So, after much searching, I tracked down Navy.

Whenever there's a gig that requires underwater prowess, Navy is the man for the job.
I also have a very busy schedule, and when a stakeout or other extended surveillance on a target is required and Loki is off fighting crime, it's hard for me to balance all of my spymaster duties and stakeout a target at the same time. That's where Sloth comes in.

Sloth can hang out above a target for hours upon hours, completely unnoticed. This frees me up to carry out all of my other spymaster tasks, which are many.
Finally, as a white unicorn, I'm pretty magical in a lot of ways, but blending in when it's dark is not one of them. I'm also much more into flying than hiding in bushes. Violet the Desert Dog, on the other hand, loves to sneak around in the brush, and can blend in where I would stand out.

I have a lot of other critters on my crew, but you get the gist - if you find beings whose skills are complementary to your own and you form a crew, you can do anything you set your minds to!

Thanks for the advice Brian, I had no idea how to go about finding my crew! I think I've got a few good buddies in mind now. I specifically need somebody that can run fast, because my pointed out feet aren't the greatest. Maybe one of my horse brothers or sisters would be a good fit for that.
ReplyDeleteGreat thinking!!!
