Yesterday I told you about how I keep an eye on my bro Michael, so today I'm going to tell you a little bit about how I keep my tiny human safe.
She disappears from the house on a regular basis, sometimes for days on end! It's incredibly challenging to keep track of her, which is where my network of spies comes into play.
I've noticed that there are a few objects that typically go missing when she leaves the house, and have passed this information on to the spy network to make sure that someone is always ready to follow her if she looks like she's about to make a move.
There's a large purple zippered box that goes with her pretty often, so the operatives spend a significant amount of time watching it for movement - typically it starts to fill with items before she's about to disappear. The other week, Pierre Junior saw signs of movement, so he hopped in and was able to follow her and bring her back home after a couple days. On another occasion, Professor Poodle was able to do the same.
There are also certain clothing items that she tend to carry with her, so climbing into pockets is another way that the spy network keeps an eye on her. Espresso is particularly skilled at this type of surveillance, in part because he has so much energy so he's able to stay vigilant and also hop up the sometimes huge distances required to make it into the pocket. Below are some pictures from two of Espresso's most recent surveillance excursions. He hopped into coat or jacket pockets to avoid being seen, and then hopped back out to keep an eye on her once she seemed to have reached her destination.

British Dog really likes to travel, so he also frequently volunteers to hop into the tiny human's makeup case so he can keep an eye on her.
The spies also play an integral role in subtly helping her find her way home - without them she probably would be hopelessly lost. Also, by ensuring that a spy is always with the tiny human, I know that there will be someone to alert me if I need to come to her rescue. It hasn't happened yet, but you never know when a thunder monster or wind monster might strike - it's important to be prepared!
