Those nefarious cats have poisoned our very own Caramel Jones. She survived, but only because my team and I were able to rapidly intervene.
Duke Silver alerted me to the fact that Caramel was not acting like herself. She seemed strangely excited and her pupils were unusually large. When we asked her if everything was okay, she said she noticed her mouth was quite dry. With her permission, I examined her closely.
At first, aside from hearing her very rapid heartbeat, I couldn't find anything wrong. Then, Kairi the Cryptographer burst into the room. She said that she had just finished decoding a message that had been intercepted by young British Dog. It spoke of plans to poison key members of our team. Caramel Jones, DA, leads up our efforts to prosecute the nefarious beasts that are a scourge to our neighborhood. The cats were trying to take her down, and we were not about to stand for it.
We acted fast. I immediately knew that we needed to get the poison out of Caramel Jones's system as quickly as possible. The only way to do that, unfortunately, was to have her vomit up the poison. Duke Silver and I worked together to induce vomiting. At first we were concerned - Caramel Jones looked a little worse for wear.
But, in just a few minutes, she began to feel and act like herself again. We knew we were out of the woods when, after a little bit more time had passed, her heart rate returned to normal. My bro Michael had to do a little bit of surgery to fix some tears caused when we were helping her expel the poison, but fortunately he used to be a corpsman and he was able to make her look (almost) as good as ever.
I fear, however, that we may be on the brink of a war with the cats. We must remain vigilant, dear readers.

My cats Houdini and Torracat say, "Fake news!"
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to be rude, but I think you cats might be lying. I recommend consulting with a horse to get an unbiased report - they usually know what's up.
