Today was pretty intense. Hela showed up and was PISSED.
Her attack began early in the morning, and at first, I was
super confused and had no idea what was happening. As she began to set fire to
much of Asgard, I caught up with one of the Valkyries to try to figure out what
was happening. All these years I thought she was off on vacation somewhere. It
turns out Odin had banished her from Asgard too – except not only had he
banished her, he’d also put her in an interdimensional prison in Hel! Somehow, she
managed to escape and decided that she would get revenge by destroying all of
Asgard.
As someone who had also been cast out of Asgard, I knew how
awful and lonely she must be feeling. After all, she didn’t find a Tiny for whom
she could do a little song and dance and then become best friends forever. I
knew exactly what I had to do.
I made myself invisible, flew directly above her head, and
ambushed her with snuggles and licks. At first, she resisted. When she realized
I wasn’t trying to fight her and just wanted to make her feel better, she
agreed to stop and have a conversation.
I told her my story, how I earned redemption during my
time on Midgard, and how my perspective on Asgard and Odin has changed because of my time on Earth. After a long discussion, she agreed to let me try to broker a
truce. The crows helped to spread the word, and both sides stopped the fighting. I spoke to Odin on her behalf for hours, and we finally came to an agreement. She
is still banished from Asgard, but Odin has allowed her to live on Midgard –
with the condition that she searches for true companionship to reignite the
love in her heart. Hopefully soon she will find a Tiny of her very own. Maybe
one day she’ll be able to return to Asgard like me, and we’ll all be a family
again!
